Freedom to Speak Up (FTSU)

At MWL we are continually striving to be open, honest and inclusive. We welcome and encourage all staff to speak up about anything that prevents them doing an excellent job, to enable and support delivery of five-star care or feeling welcomed and involved within their team. We have an active approach to Freedom to Speak Up which is reflective of the NHS England Freedom to Speak Up (FTSU) programme.

By speaking up at work, you will be playing a vital role in helping us to deliver 5 Star patient care, keep improving our services, and the working environment for our staff.

The FTSU service is led by FTSU Guardians and is available to all MWL staff, agency workers, bank workers, locums and students.

Staff who require further information about the FTSU service or help arranging contact with a Guardian, can review more detailed information on the staff intranet or email: speakingup@merseywestlancs.nhs.uk
