St Helens Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) has been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission after a recent inspection.
Based in St Helens Town Centre, the service was inspected across 5 key areas: safe, effective, caring, responsive, well-led, and the inspection results rate the UTC ‘Good’ in all areas.
The CQC highlighted many positive aspects across all areas, including:
- Leaders and staff prioritised safety and openness
- People could access the service easily and quickly so that they got the support and treatment they needed when they needed it
- Support is available for people with additional needs or communication needs
- Staff worked well as a team to provide a high quality and caring service to patients.
- The service has clear and effective systems and processes to support good governance and management
- The culture and ethos of the service is to provide a high level of patient satisfaction, and this was evident across all areas of the assessment
