Annual awards ceremony honours MWL heroes

The Trust’s amazing staff were honoured at a glittering awards evening.

More than 1,200 guests, including staff, sponsors and well-known celebrities, attended the M&S Bank Arena to celebrate the achievements of staff from across MWL.

A total of 12 awards were handed out on the evening as teams and individuals were honoured for their outstanding service to patients.

Chief Executive, Rob Cooper, said: “Tonight is all about recognising the incredible dedication, skill, and compassion that each of you brings to your role every day.

I would like to say the biggest thank you for your continued commitment to providing the highest standards of patient care. No matter what challenges come our way, you are never taken for granted. I am very proud of you all.’’

Sponsored by local and national businesses, and at no cost to the NHS, the annual awards are a chance to recognise the enormous difference our NHS heroes have made to the lives of their many patients and the local community over the last year, and the hard work and commitment they continue to show each and every day.
