The Community Cardiac Rehabilitation Team based at Fingerpost Medical Centre has once again been recognised for delivering outstanding patient care after achieving accreditation from the National Audit of Cardiac Rehabilitation (NACR).
The team has been awarded NACR's prestigious Full Green Certification for 2026/27, highlighting its ongoing commitment to providing high-quality rehabilitation and support for patients recovering from heart attacks, heart surgery and coronary intervention procedures.
The National Audit of Cardiac Rehabilitation collects and analyses data from healthcare providers across the country to help improve cardiac rehabilitation services. The audit supports better access to care, enhances service quality and promotes improved clinical outcomes for patients. Full Green Certification is awarded to services that consistently meet all seven national standards and demonstrate excellence in cardiac rehabilitation.
Joanne Bailey, Community Cardiac Services Team Leader at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (MWL), praised the team's achievement and dedication.
