During Baby Loss Awareness Week, taking place from 9th to 15th October, Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (MWL) will come together to support and remember families whose lives have been touched by pregnancy and baby loss.
As part of Baby Loss Awareness Week, special services will be held for families, friends and loved ones wishing to remember and celebrate the lives of babies who have died.
Ormskirk Hospital
- The Wave of Light and Candle Lighting Ceremony will take place at 6pm on Wednesday 14th October at West Lancashire Crematorium
Whiston Hospital
- Baby Loss Remembrance Service will be held at 6pm on Thursday 15th October in the Hospital Sanctuary, Level One, Whiston Hospital
Both events are open to the community, with no booking required.
In addition, MWL will light up the front of Ormskirk and Whiston hospitals in pink and blue from Friday 9th October to Thursday 15th October as a visible show of support for Baby Loss Awareness Week.
