Research Award for Trust

A research project involving the Trust and partners at Edge Hill University and Glasgow University has received a national funding award.

Paediatric Endocrinologist Consultant, Professor May Ng OBE, will be working with Professor Lucy Bray from Edge Hill University and Glasgow University’s Dr Jarod Wong on a project entitled “Collaborative development of education standards and resources for the emergency management of Adrenal Insufficiency’’ after receiving a funding award from the British Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (BSPED).

Each year the BSPED offers a limited number of project grants which aim to promote and support academic research by providing funding for clinical innovation in the field of paediatric endocrinology and diabetes.

Applications must have the potential to change practice in paediatric endocrinology and diabetes and benefit patients and families, other health care professionals, schools or other groups.

Prog Ng said: “The collaborative effort among three organisations not only enhances the project’s outcomes but also cultivates a culture of knowledge-sharing and I am looking forward to working with Prof Bray and Dr Wong.’’
